John Maher is the founder and CEO of John Maher Builders (JMB). Following his graduation from MTSU in 1976, John moved to Franklin and began his career as a special education teacher and wrestling coach with the Franklin Special School District, where he served as aneducator for ten years.
John developed a keen interest in homebuilding with the purchase of a how-to book in the 1980s. With the book acting as his guide, John built his first home in 1985 during a summer break from teaching. Not long after, John took a leap of faith and began building homes full-time. […]
