Spring Hill Named Among Safest Places to Live in Tennessee
Spring Hill has been ranked as one of the top 20 safest cities to live according to SafeWise. The town of 45,765 residents ranked #16 on the list. Rankings are determined based on FBI crime data dependent on voluntary, self-reported information that cities and jurisdictions report.
Despite Tennessee’s ranking as a whole, Spring Hill’s crime rate ranks far below both national and statewide averages. With a property crime rate of 8.5 per 1,000 residents compared to the state’s 25 and violent crime at just 1.6, Spring Hill deems to be a relatively safe place to live.
The property crime rate in the safest cities averages at 8.0 incidents per 1,000 people, 68% below the state rate of 24.9. The violent crime rate is 1.2 incidents per 1,000 people, over 5 times lower than the state average of 6.7.
This year, the cities in Williamson County that outranked Spring Hill were Nolensville coming in at #5 with a 4.8 property crime rate and 0.8 violent crime rate, and Brentwood at #7 with a property crime rate of 7.6 and violent crime rate of 0.4. The city of Franklin just missed the list coming in at #23 with property crime and violent crime rates of 9.2 and 2.3, respectively.
It’s no wonder that so many families choose to call Spring Hill home. Spring Hill’s low crime rate makes it the ideal location to raise a family and a worthwhile investment in the future.
